Logo vs. Brand
The Logo
The logo itself is generally a mark used to represent a brand.
The Brand
Whereas, the brand is more than just the mark and its aesthetics. It is made up of many different aspects of business, marketing and other strategies around human connection.
The brand:
helps showcase your purpose
helps align your brand position
showcase your identity
is the product and packaging
is the physical and online experience
is a communication tool
is the customer service
is the tone of voice
the list goes on…
When we design a brand
These are just some of the things that we take into consideration, which is why the branding is more than just a logo that goes on your shirt.
When we combine the logo & branding together
it gives the mark a meaning and something for customers to connect or resonate with.
Have you been thinking about creating a brand?
Here are some questions to consider.
What is your brand purpose?
Where do you want to position your brand in the market?
Who are your competitors?
How do you want to be seen by your customers?
What is your brand personality? (yes, think of it like a person)
What will your products & packages look like?
What tone of voice will you be using?
Additional note:
The definition of branding is still yet to be defined and it has become quite a controversial topic. However, one thing we as creatives do know that branding is more than just designs. It is the outcome we see when we combine design, marketing, experience and technology together.
