Who is WonderKarma?

Wonderkarma is a creative agency who helps businesses build quirky and fun brands experiences.

Background

Due to the nature of this business, the owner Nick wanted an interactive website to reflect their work culture. Their story is built around being the genie and bringing magic to their clients and users.

Which is why I’ve taken the direction of designing very tailored individual elements throughout the site with many interactive elements to keep users engaged. When you click on these elements, it’ll act like someone opening a magic box with fun information about the business hidden inside.

The challenge

  • Designing consistent tailored graphic elements throughout the site while keeping everything minimal.

  • A lot of the items on the page are tailored designs, from the menu items. timeline items and stand out interactive pieces.

  • All while being mindful of load speed when adding too much animations and video content on the website

The Solution

Custom Menu Design

One of the areas that I worked on where I’ve added a tailored feel to the brand are in the active burger menu. Where I’ve incorporated magical design elements to each of the menu items. Along with showing how the interaction will look like when someone is hovering over the menu item.

Interactive About Page

Rather than going with the traditional route of showcasing your business journey and content describing the business.

I married up the the moon phase cycle with the journey of the business. Not only does this make the user experience interactive but it also visually showcase the phases of the business.
